We live in Hawai'i - the endangered species capital of the world.
Although Hawai'i is the smallest of the United States, 80% of the nation's endangered species reside here. Many of these animals are endemic to Hawai'i and can be found nowhere else in the world.
On June 15, 2006 President George W. Bush created the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. This is a wonderful first step in helping to preserve the fragile ecosystem in Hawai'i.
This site showcases animals from all over the world - endangered or not. When we have knowledge of a thing it is much easier to care what happens to it.
If you would like to know which organization a donation will be made to when purchasing an endangered species item please contact us. We rotate the organization on a quarterly basis in order to give all the organizations some of the funds.
